Which Way is Who

This photo was a double exposure, meaning that it is two overlayed negatives. One negative is my feet in the grass, and the other was taken with a fisheye lens pointing up at pinetrees curving toward the light. I started out with a different tree-picture, and realized that I wasn't going to see any of my feet unless there was black from the other negative over them. I was able to find a picture that worked, luckily. It's interesting to me how it kind of looks like I'm standing at the edge of a cliff, looking down at the treetops and sky. Hopefully this picture makes people question what's going on-- particularly the depth and direction of the picture. From far away, the tree picture is more noticeable.
This photo also represents the balance some human beings strive for: between the sky and the earth, groundedness and connection to cosmos.
